Trishaw ride through Little India
Trishaw Uncle is an operator for trishaw tours covering 4 distinct routes: Singapore River, Little India, Kampong Glam or Chinatown. Each route starts and ends at Albert Mall Trishaw Park.
Trishaw Uncle offers the Little India route, and we jumped on it during Deepavali to soak up the festivities!
A portable speaker attached to the front of the trishaw plays the audio commentary in English/Japanese/Korean during the journey. The trishaw is also equipped with a fan and a hood to keep us dry in the event of rain!
A grand archway at the junction of Serangoon Road and Sungei Road welcomed us to the historic Little India precinct, decked up in a dazzling array of peacocks, lotus flowers, oil lamps and over a million of bulbs for the Festival of Lights!
We passed by the Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, one of the oldest Hindu temples in Singapore!
As we travelled through Little India, we immersed in the colourful sights & sounds and caught the scent of spices & flowers in the air.
Ride in the evening to enjoy the gorgeous Deepavali light-up!
Even the trishaws are lit up at night!
