Desaru Fruit Farm
At-A-Glance
Desaru Fruit Farm boasts 100+ different types of tropical fruits species on their massive 180-acres farmland! They have knowledgeable staff who took us around the farm on foot and pointed out lots of informational “did-you-know” about all sorts of fruits.
The farm ended with a delicious spread of… guess what, fruits! It was a hot walkabout and the chilled fruit platter was a perfect ending to a classic “school trip” styled outing.
They even introduced a short ATV circuit and an animal petting area with the most adorable rabbits.
Main Highlights
🥬 Herbal & Vegetable Garden: The guide explained the use of different herbs – from their uses in cooking to healing! We were allowed to touch and smell the herbs, and as we hear more about the science behind growing, we were also trying to keep these herbs alive from the stampede of our little Beans!
🐟 Fish Pond: A photo moment as man-made rocks and landscaping offers us a shaded spot after a walkabout under the hot sun. Our Beans loved the feeding opportunity as hundreds of koi swim enthusiastically towards them!
🐇 Petting Zoo: All the tame cuteness in a shaded spot for our little ones to cuddle and feed – we’re talking goats, rabbits, turkeys, pygmy chicken and many others!
🍍 Fruit buffet: All the tropical goodness on a platter – guava, jackfruit, dragon fruit, passion fruit, watermelon, banana, pineapple, mangosteen, longan, papaya, pineapple and many more!
❤️ Other Activities: Desaru Fruit Farm offers many other activities too – including paintball, ATV and dirt kart ride! Look out for the combo packages (see below) if you plan to spend a day at the farm!
