๐Ÿ‘ช In this post, we focus on the easy family-friendly trail - Entry point along Bukit Batok Avenue 2

๐ŸšŒ : Bus 187, 188, 947, 985

(Depending on direction, alight opposite Blk 315 - Bus stop no. 43489, or alight at Blk 315 - Bus stop no. 43481 then cross the street)

Nearest : Bukit Gombak MRT
From Bukit Gombak MRT, walk along Bukit Batok Avenue 5 towards Bukit Batok Avenue 2. (<15 mins walk)

๐Ÿš— Park at Block 315 Bukit Batok West Ave 2 carpark

๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿฝ From carpark, head towards the main road

Cross the road and turn right

Head towards the erected red flag in front of a clearing, which marks the entrance.

Uneven terrain, enter with care!

The entrance will lead you directly to the tiered stone steps.

Visit during heavy downpour to see water cascading down the steps, forming waterfall! ๐Ÿ’ฆ

After 30+ steps, you will reach a fallen bamboo trunk

Go under the trunk and turn left to head to Torii Gates and abandoned shed. Look out for our orange trail marker.

Otherwise, continue up the flight of stone steps to get to an old well, another abandoned shed, open hilltop, bamboo forest and more.

Look out for our orange tag and follow the tags

At a split junction, you'll see blue tag on LHS & orange tag on RHS.

Turn left and follow blue tags to get to an abandoned shed.

Turn right and continue to follow the orange tags to get to the Torii Gates.

In a nutshell: From stone steps, turn left after fallen bamboo, follow orange tags then blue tags to get to this abandoned shed.

Follow our orange trail markers from the stone steps to get to the Torii Gates in under 5 minutes.

Beware of broken floorings. Test each plank before taking next step.

Another highlight - An old well

To get to this old well, continue to head up the stone steps after the fallen bamboo. It will lead you to this well.

Pass the well and follow the trail to get to this abandoned shed.

Other highlights - To get to hilltop lookout point and bamboo forest, turn left after passing the old well and head upslope.

At the top of the slope, turn right and look out for our pink trail markers. Follow them.

The trail markers will lead you to an open hilltop.

Enter the clearing ahead and you will find yourself in a bamboo forest!

Long sleeves, long pants and high socks recommended to protect against insect bites. Insect repellant is a must!

For seasoned hikers, you may continue to explore further.

For families with younger children or inexperienced hikers, good to head back after the bamboo forest ๐Ÿ˜

We continued our trail towards Bukit Batok Ave 5 and made more discoveries, such as this abandoned tent!
